When it comes to toys, there are few better ways to spark a kid’s imagination than with wooden playhouses. Here at BillyOh, we love seeing our customers’ playhouses and how they have been transformed into playful and creative designs. So our team has rounded up the best ones to give you inspiration.
Our Favourite Playhouse Style Ideas and Themes from Our Customers
From bright and bold to pretty and pastel, the ways of decorating a kid’s playhouses are endless!
Rainbow-themed tower playhouse
Wow! This rainbow-themed playhouse from one of our customers certainly caught our eye! We love the vibrant, colourful stripe decor that has brought the Bunny Max Tower Playhouse to life.
The door is painted a soft yellow, which contrasts nicely with the rainbow stripes. The balcony is painted white to match the window frames, with heart pink flower boxes.
Bright colours, flowers, and heart details give the playhouse a fun, storybook feel that kids will enjoy.
Jurassic Park in the garden
We were totally blown away when we saw Martin’s dinosaur-themed playhouse! Inspired by the film Jurassic Park, they turned the playhouse into a garden hideout for their dinosaur-obsessed twin boys.
Martin told us, “We have twin boys who are obsessed with dinosaurs, so we wanted to make them their own dinosaur-themed playhouse. After researching a lot, we found the perfect match with BillyOh. It fitted what we wanted brilliantly… fab quality and a great price.”
We think they have done a t-riffic job of decorating their playhouse!
Pastel dreamhouse for toddlers

It was love at first sight when we saw @project_buxton’s stunning playhouse. The Peardrop playhouse has become every little one’s dream Wendy House.
Using pastel colours and floral accessories, they created the perfect place for their daughter to play. Danielle told us the playhouse was the perfect choice for Luna’s 1st birthday, and “She absolutely loves it and spends all her time in there playing.”
The house of hearts, pretty and pink
(Customer’s Image: @Houseofhearts_at78)
How could we not include Olivia’s pink playhouse in our favourite playhouses? Just look at it! @Houseofhearts_at78 opted for a lovely two-toned pink design on the Peardrop Extra Playhouse.
We love the finishing touches of bunting and flowers, which have created a beautiful fairytale hideaway for her daughter. We appreciated it even more after Olivia’s mum told us, “Olivia has Autism Spectrum Disorder, and the house is used not only for play but also as a sensory/chill-out zone for her.”
What a wonderful playhouse idea! She has created the perfect place for Olivia to relax.
Hunter’s hutch
What a lovely little house to have at the bottom of the garden! One of our customers, Soozeek, styled the Peardrop Junior Playhouse as her son’s very own hutch. The finishing touches and flower boxes are delightful, and the rocking chair and fence give the playhouse a truly homely feel.
Multi-tonal cottage with a slide
(Customer’s Image: @Lifeatnumber_.10)
We’re so impressed by @Lifeatnumber_.10’s playhouse and the multi-tonal design. Kelly told us she decided to decorate the playhouse to match her home’s style, so her kids feel right at home even outside. It’s a brilliant way of giving children a space of their own!
The bunting adds a lovely shabby chic finish. She told us, “My little one really enjoys playing in his own little house. It’s a great way to escape and let the imagination go wild!”
Ivy fairy tower castle
(Customer’s Image: @Daily_dose_of_activities)
A playhouse built for a princess! @Daily_dose_of_activities has done a fantastic job with the BillyOh Bunny Max Tower Playhouse, so pretty it had to be included in our list.
The vibrant purple and stripe design immediately catches the eye, and the ivy plants add a perfect finishing touch to this princess’s tower. They told us their daughter was “so excited when she came outside and saw her playhouse, she absolutely loves it and so do all her friends,” and it’s easy to see why.
Ava and Isla’s little home
(Customer’s Image: @Humble_family_home)
@Humble_family_home has created a wonderful outdoor play space for their daughters, Ava and Isla. The playhouse has a warm, homely feel, finished with bunting, flowers, and even a personalised sign. The pink and green pastel colours give it a pretty, inviting finish. What a wonderful place for Ava and Isla to call their own.
Pink and floral for princesses

Pink and floral—the perfect combination! This wooden playhouse is any little girl’s dream. The flowers, doorbell, and house number added by @mylittleterracehome give it a charming, homely touch. Amie told us that her daughter calls it her “pink party playhouse, where she makes everyone cups of tea and serves cake!”
